TOP TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR SKIN HYDRATED

So Summer 2020 is quickly approaching & many of us will be showing a little more skin... What's your worst nightmare imaginable?? Is it putting on your favorite sundress, walking out the door & then noticing you have a patch of dry skin that's out for the world to see???!!!

UGHHHH...the worst right! Well babe, here are a few tips for keeping that skin hydrated & on a natural glow:

1. Exfoliate. This process gets rid of those yucky dry skin cells. Choose an exfoliation product that is suitable for your skin type, whether that's dry skin, oily, etc. Apply the product on your skin in a circular motion for 20-30 seconds. Be gentle so that you don't irritate your skin.

2. Always apply moisturizer while your skin is DAMP. Ideally, apply it within 3 minutes of getting out of the shower so that your skin actually absorbs the product before drying & locks in moisture. Also, use one appropriate for your skin type.

3. Don't put on too much moisturizer. On your face, you only need about a nickel size dab of moisturizer. Otherwise, you'll end up wasting product and making the skin feel greasy. Basically, you shouldn't look like this....

 

4. Apply sunscreen. Sunscreen helps protect skin from wrinkles, skin cancer, etc. Ideally, use one with a SPF of 15 or even 30 if you'll be outside for extended periods of time. We've all probably been guilty of forgetting this step, but if you're a regular makeup wearer, foundation also provides a barrier between the skin and the outside elements. BUT, still try to remember that good ole sunscreen beautiful.
